Information on Object Testing and Activation

Before the object can be crafted by our printers and staff, the price be calculated and then put up for sale in the gallery, our team of specialists need to check it.
This testing needs to be very thoroughly and can take up to two workdays.

Screening tests of 3D-object data and, if desired, offering it for sale in our gallery are free of costs. All you need to do is open an account with rapidobject.com.

Nature of Screening Tests

During this process we check your VRML or .stl data for potential problems concerning the printout of your object.
In case a problem occurs, we will send you an email containing an error list and suggestions to optimise your 3D-data.

Calculation of production costs

On uploading the object you have stated the desired dimensions of your object (in the shape of a box, stating length/width/height). During the check-up, these dimensions are taking as the basis for calculating the overall volume needed for printing. The calculated volume (in cubic centimetres) and the resulting costs of production will be stated to you. If your 3D programme helps you calculate the volume yourself, the exact price will be indicated on uploading the data.

In the object scheme, your account will state whether the screening test is done. There you can read information on your model as well as costs of production.

We are afraid that rapidobject.com currently cannot monitor more than three files per user. This guarantees equal conditions for all users. If you would like to have more objects checked, your file needs to be registered as an object already.
