3D scanning offers a speedy alternative to 3D modeling for obtaining data. Tracing a 3D object grid-like, the laser scan analyzes it and produces a quantity of data points that condenses into a cloud. This data point cloud allows us to determine angles, widths and depths or to build a closed surface. Based on those data, the object is gradually reconstructed in a digital graphic.
